About Bonsall Education Foundation
Great Kids. Great Schools. Great Community.
“Most top, public school districts benefit from robust support from their community. The Bonsall Education Foundation has been that district-wide partner for Bonsall Unified.”
Support Our Students
Our primary program is called Support Our Students or S.O.S. Families can donate to their student’s school, then teachers use these funds for classroom enrichment, supplies, equipment, projects, or activities.
Vivian Banks Charter School has a new campaign called $30 for 30 Years! Donations help with renovation initiatives, classroom upgrades, cultural arts programming, assemblies and other student programs.

Special Events
BEF hosts various sponsored events like the Bonsall High School Car Show, which raises monies for the Bonsall High School College & Career Center, planned this year for Saturday, October 25th. The BUSD golf tournament, held in the spring, raises funds for the athletic programs of both Sullivan Middle School and Bonsall High School. We have also collaborated with Bonsall Rotary to make their Wine, Blues and Brews event a success.
Our partnership with the Bonsall High Theatre Company allows BHS to produce quality shows like last year’s Ride the Cyclone and their Showcase.
Scholarships
BEF is proud to host two in memoriam scholarships at the high school. The Dale Costa Scholarship helps support the educational pursuits of a graduating Bonsall High School student attending Palomar College before transferring to university or college.
The Dr. David Kjelland Scholarship supports first-generation college students pursuing degrees in the medical field or the arts.

Bonsall Hometown Partnership
Our Bonsall Hometown Campaign is a collaboration to strengthen the connection between Bonsall Unified School District and our local business community. Our goal is to create sustainable partnerships to foster school spirit while providing businesses with valuable recognition and engagement opportunities.
Collaborating for Success
We encourage collaboration with other community organizations, like the Bonsall Woman’s Club & Fallbrook Questers. Because of these partnerships, BEF has been able to almost completely restore the Bonsall Schoolhouse, which was established in 1895.
Even though we are a small foundation, we offer big programs that cater to each school’s needs, for the success of the Bonsall school community. The BEF Board of Directors and sub-committees volunteer their time and talents to facilitate these offerings, and we encourage the community to participate with BEF in any way possible to ensure the success of our students.
